Artists notes: I scared myself on this one; "The Mother Of All Race Car Paintings"! It's certainly the best I've ever done and the culmination of my fifty years of painting hot rods. The hand-painted image on canvas original of World Champion Tony Schumacher at the hit, at Pomona 2010, was created with few "artistic license" changes from an amazing reference photo taken by veteran Tim Marshall. The flames were all arced out exactly as depicted. To get the desired effects, The Lord showed me how to employ techniques and proprietary materials never before done or used in any painting. - Kenny Youngblood |
